New Home Sales in October Up 41.5% from 2019

The U.S. Government is reporting that sales of new single-family houses in October, 2020 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 999,000 which is 0.3% lower than September’s revised rate, and is 41.5% higher than one year ago. The median sales price of new houses sold in October was $330,600 with an average sales price of $386,200. The U.S. government is reporting that privately‐owned housing starts in September were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1,439,000, which is 8.1% lower than August’s revised number and 7.7% lowe
